FAQ

How do I join the centre?

Seedlings is here for any family with a child under five. At your first visit you will be asked to complete a registration form.

How can I talk to someone about my child?

Simply ring Kat in the office, someone will be in touch very soon to arrange a meeting.

Can I come to all the events on the programme?

Most events run by the centre are open to all. A few groups rare designed for specific communities but this are clearly marked, if in doubt, ring Kat.

What does it cost to attend?

Unless specified most groups are free to attend though there is usually a donations tin to help fund refreshments and materials. No one would be excluded from any group on grounds of non payment.

How do you decide where parenting courses are run?

We simply run them where they are needed. When a number of parents in one area express an interest in attending a course we set a date and see who else wants a place. If you are interested in attending but there isn’t a course near you let us know and we’ll try to help.

If I ask for help surely that means I'm not a good parent?

If you need help and ask for it you are most definitely a good parent! The staff at Seedlings understand that being a parent isn’t easy and are keen to help in any way they can. One phone call could be a first positive step, ring today.

I don't have problems - I just want to know something.

What ever you need to know give us a call, anything from "Where’s the nearest park?" to "How can I check my benefits?" We’ll do our best.
